Living through Sacrifice

I am going to stand for others,

even when they will not stand for themselves.

I am going to be a light in this world,

even if I am hated for it.

I am going to love,

those who do not love me

and make themselves my enemy.

I will love though unloved,

I will die to myself so that I may have life.

I will become a fool that I may become wise.

Because the world and all its sickness,

I hate it and cannot join it.

I will be apart of the change.
